The SMA Power Reducer Box is self-sufficient solution for PV plants that remotelycontrol the plant performance in case of grid oerload. It does so by translating the transmitted set point values into proper control commands for the Sunny WebBox. It transfers all the information about the power limitations to the plant operator via email through the help of Sunny Portal. It complies with the requirements for Germany’s Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG) on feed-in management.
